Body-art

Majority of Aikido training comprises empty-hand, or Body-art techniques. These includes control locks and throws. We have a comprehensive syllabus for learning Body-art.

The teachers at London Aikikai have a direct lineage (teacher-student relationship) to O-Sensei, the founder of Aikido, through his renowned disciple TK Chiba Shihan. Chiba Sensei was not only an uchi-deshi (live-in student) at the World Aikido Headquarters in Tokyo but was privileged to be a disciple of the founder, travelling and training with him wherever he went.
