Explanation of classes
Children - See Young People
Beginners: Beginners to 4th Kyu. Others may join in to assist beginners.
Mixed: All including beginners.
Intermediate/Advanced: 5th Kyu and above (or 1 year of training).
Weapons Basics: Beginners and intermediates in Jyo/Bokken
Weapons Intermediate: All with basic knowledge of weapons training.
Iaido (Iai Batto Ho): All including beginners.
Zazen (seated meditation): All including beginners.
Free Practice: All including beginners. Supervised by an experienced instructor.
Misogi practice is held twice a year, in January and April to commemorate the death of the Founder. The object of Misogi is purification by practising intensively for an hour. A party is held afterwards and students are requested bring their favourite food and drink. Watch the dojo noticeboard for details. |
